The Greyhound bus is still the cheapest way to cross the continent. I left Montreal the morning after a man had been brutally stabbed to death and then decapitated. There was a slightly elevated sense of tension, but otherwise people behaved normally.
Two people were arrested—both in Western Ontario. The first for being drunk and disorderly and then later another man, also drunk, made death threats towards the passenger beside him. Otherwise nothing unusual happened.
