Why have a blog? Why have opinions? Opinions are cheap and plentiful these days. Everyone can’t betray the intimate details of their lives fast enough. Every two-bit, hack online journalist has written as much. So the internet it choked with empty chatter of all kinds. It’s impossible to sift through and no one would want to. That means a small readership – not necessarily a bad thing. It makes me less open to lawsuits.
I can do it because it’s there - a very mindless rationale… because the structure invites it – very Edmund Hillary.
But really the answer is impotent rage. Some people have clear ideas, others physical strength - some both. I have an excess of impotent rage. There is an energy there, just as there is energy in the sun, the question is can I put it to work, can it be used for good? Since I don't have an adequate answer to that question I opted instead for this...
